Hi everybody it's time for your Land and Livestock Report, here on the Ag Information Network of the West-I'm Russell Nemetz.

Western ranchers met in Flagstaff, AZ over the weekend for the 2017 Public Lands Council Annual Meeting. Ethan Lane is the Executive Director of the PLC and says the meeting plays a very important role.

"The meeting in Flagstaff will reinforce our commitment to the western ranching community and provide an additional opportunity for us to connect with the members we work with every day. We are eager to bring together our strong membership base to discuss public lands issues and develop our policy priorities."

Wyoming rancher and PLC Secretary/Treasurer Nels Hansen agrees.

"We have a rare opportunity with the administration we have now. They're really reaching out to industry groups wanting to learn and find out what's been going wrong and what they can do to help us. Now's the time to get involved with your local group and support them and also support them financially because we really have a chance now to make a difference."

The PLC annual meeting concluded on Sunday.

That's your Land and Livestock Report-I'm Russell Nemetz.
