If I had the chance to raise my boys again I wouldn’t put such emphasis on youth sports, rather focus more on creating family memories. In retrospect when we gather we can easily recount each camping or hunting trip but the countless little league and AAU games become a blurr.  On today’s Open Range you’ll hear how The University of Idaho Extension is hoping former campers from the last 50 years will remember their  special experiences and attend a reunion of sorts with friends. I’m Susan Allen, back after the break.  For fifty years youth have attended the popular Natural Resources Camp also known as the Natural Resources Workshop through the University of Idaho Extension. Past campers are scattered throughout the Northwest and U.S. so to celebrate the fifty year milestone, Extension has put out a call for former campers to join in the ceremonies that close out the 2010 camp season. In particular, they are looking for camp alumni from the early years, 1960-85 that can attend the alumni event June 25 I what they  believe will be a great opportunity for campers from the past 50 years to share their experiences and memories with each other and  a  new generation of campers.  The Natural Resources Camp began in 1959 with a vision of introducing Idaho Youth  to their abundant natural resources . If you have great camp memories to share visit the events contact Kellie Ey, Natural Resources CAmp Coordinator. 831.419.4363
