A tornado by any other name is still a tornado.

Richard Pauli is a climate scientist in the Northwest and has noticed with some alarm, backed by a recent study from Yale, that the climate is going through what he terms dramatic destabilization. I had a recent conversation with him and got kudos at the end of the interview. "(David) As you were talking about it, how are people learning about it, and how are they affected, well, when you start getting these crazy tornadoes, these wild storms, these droughts, these events that are inexplicable, record-breaking destabilization to use your term, people are starting to wake up and say call it whatever you want to call it but things are changing. ( Richard) Things are changing. The other thing this report said was that they would like main stream media to provide more information. I think 10% of the people said that their local TV weather cast would say anything about climate change, or warming, or excessive or strange climate behavior on the local weather. But mostly, people are more worried about what happens locally, but people are starting to be aware of what is happening outside their region. ( David) As a member of the media you can count me in on letting people know. I do these stories all the time. I talk to Forest experts who talk about how the entomology community is changing and growing and expanding exponentially and at epidemic proportions, so things are changing .( Richard) Things are changing and I think you're doing a wonderful service by talking about it which I think is the most important thing.
