Crystal Wilson, RD Senior Director of Health & Wellness for the Idaho Dairy Council and brand new hire Chelsea Schoenfelder got on speaker phone with me to talk about Chelsea's new job. “Chelsea is a talented young woman. I love her background and experience in dietetics as well as in public health. It is a perfect match to complement the other teammates that we have here at the Idaho Dairy Council. Chelsea, what are your job responsibilities? Has the health and wellness manager, I will work with Idaho's dairy farm families to connect consumers with where their food comes from, I will also oversee grant programs, manage partnerships, help with event planning and many of our youthfulness initiatives. How do you connect consumers with your products? We can't get every consumer out on a dairy farm and depending on where they live, they may or may not have had that opportunity. When we can through social media and other ways of telling our story working with our health professionals and educators, whenever we have the opportunity to coordinate dairy farm tours we do and invite those key thought leaders in those areas to come on a dairy farm.
