They have three young children on their traditional family farm but Dave and Kris Williams raise a lot more than just kids. DAVE "Probably about 45 head of dairy cows, probably 60 head of beef cows. We usually keep about 100 head of yearlings in the corrals, in the winter time we try to get up to about 300 head there. About 900 acres here in the valley, flood irrigated, of alfalfa, barley and pasture." Kris says she's the city girl who always wanted to meet and marry a farmer. KRIS "I thought it was all fun and games. And then when we got married it was a big, big eye opener. This is a lot of hard work and I kicked and fought a little bit at the beginning, 'don't you need to go back to school?' I mean our kids have seen a birth and a death in one day or even to go ride in the tractor or go watch the baby calves kick up their heels. It's a very enjoyable fulfilling lifestyle, so I wouldn't trade it now." Young Farmers and Ranchers Dave and Kristine Williams, another Idaho Farm Bureau distinguished family.
