Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Y. This weekend we need you to help us make the 40th Anniversary of the Famous Idaho Potato Marathon the best family-friendly event in the Treasure Valley!! Come out and meet new people in your community and enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Packet Pick-up & Set-up Day

Friday, May 18, 5:30pm-8:00pm

Packet pick up is located at the Albertsons Headquarter's parking lot off of Parkcenter Boulevard. Be the first to wish the runners good luck when they receive their bibs! Shifts are available.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

•Help with late registrations

•Assign bib numbers to participants

•Learn the courses and answer questions about the maps and instructions

•Help set up the start and finish line for race day

The YMCA is looking for volunteers for all areas of the event from the starting line to the finish line, and everything in between. Check the list of responsibilities below and let us know your area of interest when you sign up. Spots are limited but groups are welcome! Shifts are available.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Lead cyclist for all distances

• Athlete bag check

• Late packet pick up at marathon and half marathon start

• Finish t-shirts tent

• Set up start and finish line areas

• Course monitors (have the best view of the race)

• Hand out medals

• Water station at the finish line

• Break down and clean up

• Green team

• and more!
