Republician canadiates for Idaho governor in 2018 spoke to idaho farm bureau county president’s at the annual summer meeting last week in Burley.

Boise developer and MD Tommy Ahlquist told the group...he’s been a successful public servant in his private life and is now ready to lead the state as governor. I have been a public servant my whole life. I have probably accomplished more out of office that a lot of people have while in. I think the state of Idaho is ready for someone like me. I have accomplished so much in the private sector and in public service. Three years ago I started Idaho 20/20 which is a group of statewide CEOs who try and exert influence in a conservative way. You don't have to be a politician your whole life to make a difference.”

Lt. Gov Brad Little...who spends a lot of time recruiting new industry to Idaho...says there is a lot of interest in investing in Idaho agriculture. A good thing for rural Idaho. "The interest in Idaho is unbelievable. What's exciting to me is the interest in capital investment and added value to you name the commodity. Grain, dairy was a big one for this part of the state. People who want to invest and deploy their capital here to add value to our commodities.”
