06/30/05 Growing up on an Idaho dairy farm

Anyone raised on a farm or ranch has their own perspective of life there. Rhiannon and Holly Purdy are no different having been raised on their parent's Vicky and Dana Purdy's Ada County dairy farm. HOLLY "She is one of the hardest working, busiest, kindest people that I have ever met. My Dad's a tough-love kind of guy, compassionate about what he does though. He's a dairy farmer down to the bone." RHIANNON "Growing up on our farm was hectic and busy and exciting and kind of a curse at the same time." HOLLY "I absolutely loved growing up on a dairy farm, wouldn't have it any other way. I have a lot of friends in high school they don't understand why to have to go home every afternoon after school and work or milk cows or whatever. I'm really glad that I was able to grow up on this farm." RHIANNON "It was awesome looking back. We had a lot of fun. We had all the room to run around on, we had unlimited fort space and unlimited hide and seek areas. Ran into fences, got shocked and fell off haystacks. Its not without its bumps and bruises but we had fun." Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
