This last fall I am sitting on the banks of the Snake River and steelhead fishing was real tough so we decided to go sturgeon fishing. That involved us watching these big rods and hoping a dinosaur came up and bit the smelly bait bouncing around on the bottom. To pass the time, there is a game called the name game. You would start with the name of a former baseball player and the next guy had to go ahead and name the first name of a player whose name started with the next letter. This is a great game to pass time because if you get a lot of people you can go on for hours. It gets over to me and I have the letter B so I say Bill Buckner. my buddy started falling over with laughter because for some strange reason in the front pocket of his waders is a Bill Buckner baseball card. I threw it into my waders and we all laughed and then I proceeded to go into the longest slump of my steelhead career. I went three full months without so much as a bite." But would his luck change? Tomorrow.
