Brian Huskey, well known for his proactive stance towards educating people concerning how to handle fish if you are in a catch and release mode, has a fairly typical story about how he got started as an outdoorsman but, certainly does it all as you are about to find out. "I've been fishing most of my life, about 40 years now. It started with fishing along the river with my dad as a little kid with the bobber and bait. Salmon and steelhead on the Oregon coast and eventually evolved into more refined specialty of fly fishing for trout and steelhead. There is a little bit of saltwater adventure sprinkled in every year if I can. I am just a passionate archery hunter, specifically for elk and mule deer. Those two critters in particular are favorites of mine and I focus a lot of time and energy into those sports every fall. I will go rifle hunting for deer but that doesn't keep me up at night. My thoughts and imagination spin yarns of chasing elk during the rut with my bow and arrow. I went elk hunting this year, had a fantastic season and harvested my best bull to date. That's the third one in a row that I have harvested on hunts all by myself.
