With today’s Fruit Grower Report, I’m Bob Larson. Wine lovers couldn’t flip their calendars fast enough because … March … is ‘Taste Washington Wine Month.”

Washington State Wine’s Heather Bradshaw says it’s the industries month to shine…

BRADSHAW … “Taste Washington Wine Month is all throughout the month of March where restaurants, retailers, hotels and wineries offer special promotions and deals to sort of raise excitement about Washington’s awesome wine industry.”

Bradshaw says the celebration features events throughout the month of March with the capper coming towards the end of the month …

BRADSHAW … “We’re really building the excitement up all month to lead up to Taste Washington, which is the nation’s largest single region wine and food festival. And, it’s celebrating it’s 21st birthday this year, Taste Washington is. So, that’ll be really fun and that’s happening March 22nd through 25th in Seattle.”

Bradshaw says this celebration is a great way to keep people up to date with the growing number of great wines we continue to produce year after year …

BRADSHAW … “The Washington state wine industry is growing every year and Taste Washington Wine Month is really a way to get everybody energized and excited about our amazing wine industry here in the state through everybody helping to promote the Washington Wine Industry as a whole throughout the month of March.”
