With the farm and ranch report I'm Rick Worthington.

U.S. beef cattle industry has a new spokesman. His name is Lance Pekus but you probably would know him better as cowboy ninja from the American Ninja Warrior television show. Pekus horse ranches with his father in law in Salmon Idaho and took part in a promotion campaign for Beef It's What's For Dinner. The videos are available on YouTube. Here Pekus has talks about how he got into ranching.

I've always kind of lived in smaller towns and you know felt like I was associated with farming and ranching but I was always from the outside. It wasn't until I left. School and met my future wife. Spent the summer on her family's ranch and I just really fell in love with the ranch work. You really realize how much more is involved. Kind of being from the outside and then coming in and seeing how much work really goes into it. You know I've boys I've done little things here and there and been a part of me like baling hay and like change and pipe and stuff like that but to really get a firsthand experience with it and. Just kind of grew and just kept coming back and then after school we. Moved here set up permanently and never left and plan on living probably the rest of our lives here.
