During a press conference last week, President Trump made it clear he still has farmers and ranchers best interest in mind as he considers world trade agreements that continue to develop.

There was some positives and negatives revealed by President Trump.

On one hand he says, farmers and ranchers will have a chance to sell more in south Korea.

"Just concluded, as you know, two days ago, signed a deal with South Korea, a trade deal, a tremendous deal with South Korea. It means a lot of business for our farmers. We're opening up for farmers. We're opening up for a lot of different groups."

And on the other hand, he says negotiations with China could still effect American Agriculture negatively.

"With China, as you know, we put out an announcement today. They would like to see me lose an election because they've never been challenged like this. But I want to open up China to our farmers, and to our industrialists, and our companies. And China is not open. But we're open to them. They charge us 25, 35, 55 percent for things, and we charge them nothing, in terms of coming in to the country."

And there are still problems when it comes to our neighbors to the North.

"Frankly, we're thinking about just taxing cars coming in from Canada," Mr. Trump said at a news conference on Wednesday. "That's the mother lode. That's the big one. We're very unhappy with the negotiations and the negotiating style of Canada."

He was apparently referring to Chrystia Freeland, the Canadian foreign minister, who has been leading the Nafta talks for her country.

Trade tensions between the United States and Canada have been rising for months, and relations between Mr. Trump and Mr. Trudeau have soured amid disagreements over the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Mexico and the United States want to sign a final deal before the new Mexican government takes over on Dec. 1st.
