National Potato Council's D.C. Fly In

The annual Potato D.C. Fly-In, will be held February 13-16 in Washington, DC. If you are a member of the potato industry, make your voice heard on Capitol Hill by meeting with members of Congress and Administration officials. Political experts and analysts will speak on the current legislative environment to help you advocate for the industry.

National Potato Council Senior Director of Public Policy Kam Quarles says with the new administration and new appointments happening in D.C. there is a lot of energy and will be many changes in the coming months. He shares more details

Quarles: "The fly In is a great opportunity for the potato industry collectively to make its voice heard on the Hill. As other voices become even more intense — and maybe they don't have our best interests at heart —- certainly at the staff level we are redoubling our efforts to make sure that the potato priorities and agenda are well known and acted upon. But it is also going to take some renewed energy from member as well. There has been a great enthusiasm from potato members in the past. We are grappling with new days here. Fly in is a great opportunity to get everyone together and remind them of how impactful the federal government can be in their operation."
