A new networking group for women in agriculture is getting a big boost after joining forces with the Western Landowners Alliance.

We told you about Women in Ranching in an earlier report. Why the need for a group like this?

Co-founder Wendy Millet, TomKat Ranch in California and a WLA board member says there's a desire by women to get together share new ideas and start new actions and to spread the word.

"Everyone who is innovative thinker, they probably have really good friends who are also innovative out of the box thinkers who would want to come in to join a new kind of a movement."

She says there are also real practical challenges that women in agriculture face on a daily basis.

Millet says the groups are contagious and more and more women are expressing interest. If you or a woman in ag you know want more information check out the Western Landowners Alliance Blog online.
