Conservation Reserve Program
Enrollment in the Conservation Reserve Program is underway again after a pause last fall.
Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation Bill Northey on the continuous Conservation Reserve Program.
Northey told reporters local farm service agency offices will accept enrollment through August 17th. The program has a limited number of acres it can accept and that is set by congress.
In Colorado Conservation Reserve Program payments totaled 65.6 million dollars in 2016 according to USDA data.
