Colorado’s Attorney General says legal marijuana producers and merchants can stay the course even after Attorney General Jeff Sessions indicated a crack down on states with recreational marijuana laws.

After Sessions rescinded an Obama-era policy’s hands off approach to legal pot, AG Cynthia Coffman tried to calm nerves.

“At this point continue doing business in compliance with state law.”

Coffman said the state will have a strong argument to fight any crack down after it has built up a billion dollar industry that provides 35 thousand jobs.

Senator Corey Gardner delivered an angry speech after the news saying Sessions promised him before his confirmation to the AG position that he would leave marijuana up to the states.

Until AG Sessions lives up to his committment to I will be withholdnig all nominations to the Justice Department.

Sen. Michael Bennet said the Attorney General failed to listen to Colorado, and will create unnecessary chaos and confusion.”

Governor Hickenlooper echoed their comments.
