Members of the House Agriculture Committee held the final Farm Bill Listening session before they get to work writing the new 2018 Bill.

Members have heard from dairy, livestock, seed farmers, and food and nutrition providers from around the country in a series of meetings.

In this final session they heard from Kathryn Boor, dean of Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences about a lack of agricultural research funding.

DR. Boor says each dollar spent by the USDA on agricultural research and development returned 33 dollars in economic impact.

Ag Committee Chair Mike Conaway has said they hope to have a new bill before Congress early next year.
