Training for Farm Businesses Looking to Develop and Expand Their Wholesale Business

For those farm businesses that are looking to develop or expand their business into the wholesale markets, there will be a training held on February 15 and 16th at the Department of Agriculture's Broomfield office.

CDA Marketing Specialist Wendy White provides more details

White: "The Colorado Department of Agriculture and Colorado State University are partnering with the Market Ready team from the University of Kentucky and are hosting a two-day event to help farm businesses scale up for wholesale markets. So we are really excited to offer this event February 15th and 16th here at the Colorado Department of Agriculture."

White continues with more about the agenda

White: "It's really an interesting program. The first day is really designed for ag service providers and business development people who work with producers to give them the tools that they need to assist farmers and ranchers in scaling up their businesses. The second day is designed for farmers themselves to learn about packaging, labeling, pricing and supply. There is even an opportunity for them to network with retail and wholesale buyers. So the second day is for both trainers as well as the producers to engage in that agenda."
