CCA Seeks Nominees for Annual Awards

The Colorado Cattlemen's Association is looking to recognize people who are making a difference in the state's beef industry. Winners will be named at the CCA Mid-Winter Meeting in Denver in January. Marketing and Communications Director Sarah Smith shares more details.

Smith: "So each year, CCA in conjunction with Operation Livestock Thief recognizes a brand inspector who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to serve our industry. The Law Officer of the Year award is presented to a Colorado law enforccentm officer who has exhibited extraordinary performance and has serve our industry above and beyond the call of duty. The Outstanding Commercial and the Outstanding Seed Stock Producers of the year are both awarded to innovative beef producers who contribute to the enhancement of cattle and to the beef industry and whose hard work has made significant impact on the industry.

Smith: "We will be presenting those at the Mid-Winter Conference on January 16through 18th at the Renaissance Hotel. We will be presenting those at the banquet on Tuesday the 17th during that conference. The deadline to send in those nominations is November first."
