There are two Colorado Corn District Meetings coming up in about two weeks. District 6 which encompasses all of Cheyenne, Kit Carson and Washington counties and it will be held Tuesday, August 11 at the Claremont Inn and Winery in Stratton from noon to 1:30.
The second will be the following day, August 12th for District 5 which includes Yuma County at the Irrigation Research Farm in Yuma from 10 to 11:30
Colorado Corn Communications Director Eric Brown shares more about what will happen at each of these meetings.
Brown: “Let them know what the industry is doing, hear what their concerns in the ag industry. Just good face to face communication. We usually hold board nominations for our Corn Administrative Committee and Colorado Corn Growers Association. we do that while we are out on the road and talk to them in person. We usually have a featured topic or featured speaker. This year we have the Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association Executive Director Jessica Freeman travel with us. Her presentation is centered around this campaign, ‘Look Before Your Launch’.”
Brown says that turn out at the previous three meetings have been very good and the topic of drone use has brought non-ag people to the meetings to learn more about the safety and liability of operating drones. To find out more about the meetings, go to coloradocorn.com.
